Hi all
Last Friday we had a pleasure of building an Entry Level Gaming PC and today we received a photo of it at a home set up
Look at this little beast looking so awesome
A gaming PC is a high-end computer that is specially designed to handle more intensive tasks, such as video games, multimedia, graphic design software, photo editing software and more
In this article, we will be looking at how we built a budget gaming PCs for our customer using the best value products on the market today.
Before we start, let’s talk about what makes a good gaming PC.
A good graphics card is important for any Gaming PC.
Graphics cards are responsible for displaying graphics on the screen, they are able to handle complex graphics processing using their own onboard CPU, this is a significant feature as the latest games games become more and more detailed, and allows them to run without lag or significantly lower frame rates.
In this Custom Build the customer has chosen to go with the NVIDIA RTX 3060 by Asus, which in terms of performance is very well priced in terms of power per buck and will easily render the latest games on medium to high settings, all while maintaining great frame rates and temperatures.
The CPU needs to be powerful enough to support the graphics card and provide an enjoyable experience while playing the game.
The CPU is the brain of the computer and determines how well games will run. The most important consideration when buying a PC with a gaming-oriented graphics card is to make sure the CPU can handle it. A high-end graphics card puts more load on the CPU and if it’s not powerful enough, your game will be laggy and unenjoyable to play.
In this case the customer went with the superb Intel Core i7-10700F processor which will marry up nicely with the speed of the RTX 3060 Graphics card.
Memory, you need enough RAM to keep your system running smoothly and quickly without any lag time or crashes.
To ensure the best possible performance, it is important that your computer has enough RAM. The more RAM your system has, the faster it will be.
When it comes to buying a new computer, most people focus on processor speed and how much storage you might need. What many people don’t know, is that the more RAM your system has, the faster it will be.
In today’s world of technology, the market for computer SDRAM memory for gaming is booming. Graphics cards are constantly being updated to provide gamers with a more immersive experience and increased frames per second. As games become more advanced, the need for high-speed memory becomes even more crucial.
A Pair of DDR4 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200MHz were dropped into this little beauty and will definately be up to the job, they also ad a nice touch to the overall looks of the case with RGB led lighting that can be changed to a number of different colours to suit any case design.
Motherboard – Choosing the right motherboard
The motherboard is often considered the most important part of a gaming PC. It’s where you’ll fit all your computer’s components, from the CPU to the RAM to the graphics card. Without a high-quality motherboard, it doesn’t matter how good your gaming PC is, because it won’t be able to run any of those components properly. And if you have the wrong type of motherboard for your selected other components then in some cases things just literally will not fit or be compatible, so it is vital that this is considered when choosing the right motherboard.
Here we chose the highly dependable MSI Z490 Gaming Plus Motherboard
MSI’s newest release, the MSI Z490 Gaming Plus Motherboard, is perfect for those who enjoy both gaming and editing. This motherboard offers gamers a cutting-edge Intel Core i7 processor in a B360 chipset for a budget-friendly price. The motherboard supports up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM, which is much higher than the maximum supported by most gaming boards. This board also has features built-in such as overclocking, which can be turned on or off with its switch. The features of the motherboard are unmatched by other boards, making it a perfect choice for any gamer.
Once again this motherboard has RGB LED lighting to enhance the aesthetics even more.
Give me power – Power Supply units (PSU)
A power supply unit is the most crucial component of a computer as it converts alternating current from a wall outlet to low-voltage direct current so that it can be used by the computer and power the individual components you have chosen
The power supply unit is often overlooked when upgrading or building a new PC. This is because many people don’t understand how it works and what its function is in relation to other components in the system.
For example a GPU alone in some cases can draw as much as 340W alone, so a 500W power supply is just not going to cut it, you would need more like an 850W or larger.
In this particular build we are using a 650W Corsair CX650F RGB, and yes you guessed it MORE RGB LED Lights, well why not….
Cooling – Im so damn hot!
Heat and computers will always be arch enemies, this is why there are various different techniques and components available to cool your rig down when things are getting a little toastie!
We opted for liquid cooling for this build and chose the Mag Coreliquid 240R from MSI with AIO RGB CPU Liquid Cooler, Rotating Cap design, 240mm Radiator, Dual 120mm RGB PWM Fans.
Building a Gaming PC is a fun experience for many people and it’s also an opportunity to save money compared to a mass produced, pre-built over the counter system.
For our local customers we even offer a BUILD IT WITH THE TEAM service where you can come into the shop and actually get hands on involved with building your very own PC under the supervision of our amazing technicians. for more information on this service please click here.
The first step is to figure out what you want your PC to do. Do you need a PC for gaming, multimedia, or just browsing the internet?
Now that you know what your needs are, it’s time to start thinking about parts. You can either buy all of the parts yourself or have someone build it for you. The important thing is that whatever option you choose, make sure that the company has a good reputation and offers warranties on their products.
One of the most important factors in choosing your parts is budget, as you want to make sure that you can afford all of them, but our team can help with decisions when it comes to sacrifices and ways to cut costs. You also want to make sure that you are getting a good balance between quality and power, so it’s worth considering what kind of games you plan on playing before deciding on certain components, as this will help us to identify the best components for your budget while also being capable for the game you would like to play.
